I have been crazy busy attempting to finish all my projects for the Lucketts market next weekend. So, I don’t have time to type out a full tutorial but I wanted to share one of my latest finished pieces!
This is a vintage Henredon end table that I painted with Benjamin Moore Advance satin in Tuscon Coral. I got the “dipped” effect by spray painting the ends of the legs with gold paint first, and then using painters tape to create the crisp line between the coral and gold. This sassy little table will be available next week at the market, along with the brass duck and a bunch of telephone insulators!

That is the cutest table ever! I love the color, and those dipped legs are just perfect!
Love how you styled the vignette and the table is so fresh and fun; the coral and gold work so well together. I've been staring at the paint fan-deck trying to pick a coral and this might be the one for me too! {thanks, so you saved me tons of time}. I'm also considering trying the BM Advance paint for the first time on my furniture redo {I've always used oil before}; would you recommend this paint and any personal tips for use?

Thanks! I actually saw the color in BH&G and loved it. So far I have mixed feelings about the BM Advance paint. The whole point is that it's supposed to have the durability of oil-based with the clean up of water-based. A lot of my stuff is still curing and I haven't used it on anything for my own house yet, so I can't speak to the durability yet. I do have to say that it's not the most convenient paint to apply. It requires 16 hours dry time in between coats, and most of the stuff I've painted has required three coats. Also, it levels out, which is awesome, but it also means that places you thought were covered end up not quite covered when you come back to it. So I think when it comes to applying it, it's not the most convenient stuff, but if you're looking for a low VOC, easy clean up paint that is as durable as oil-based, it's definitely a great option.
I will be in town for this next weekend(I live in NC)and will certainly be claiming this gorgeous piece for my coral and teal bedroom!

That is QUITE a color. So vibrant! I'm travelling from NY to Luckett's – planning to shop and blog my way through the Market to give everyone a taste of what they're missing! I've seen so many comments on the blogs form folks who wish they could be there!

Just picked up this exact table (in terrible shape) at the Goodwill. I was thinking about refinishing it to look original, but this looks so cute, I may try something like this! I love the idea of gold legs! Thanks!
